Ang ating silid-aklatan - our library

Hayley Concepcion —

English:

Good day! I am Hayley Concepcion and I currently work at Christchurch City Libraries. I would like to share with you the services that our libraries offer to our students, but first I would like to inform you that Upper Riccarton Library is a shared library.

This means that the school uses this library for their students and teachers and the library is open to the public and to anyone who wishes to use it.

Upper Riccarton Library is ready to help students with their research for their homework or assignments and all their reading needs.

Aside from the books that you would find inside the library, we also have online resources where you can get information for your assignments.

These can be found on these webpages : https://my.christchurchcitylibraries.com/browse/kids/ and https://my.christchurchcitylibraries.com/browse/teens/

Don’t hesitate to approach your School Librarians if you have questions or you need help to look for something. Librarians are there and willing to help you.

For the parents, Upper Riccarton library is not just a school library.

It is also a public library where you can use the space, the technology and you can find and borrow books, magazines, DVDs, CDs and also eBooks and eMagazines.

Did you know that you can also download newspapers and magazines from the Philippines in the library? Joining the library is free.

On March 20,21 and 22, I will be at Upper Riccarton to meet more Filipino students.

If you have questions about the library or would like me to explain more about our services, please feel free to drop by and have a chat; or you can just come and say hello. See you there!
