Year 10 Literacy and Numeracy Exam Results and NZQA Learner Logins.

Year 10 literacy and numeracy exam results

Two weeks ago, the results were released for the Year 10 students who sat the new literacy and numeracy exams in June. These results can be viewed by learners using their NZQA login to access their account on the NZQA website.

These three exams assessed competency in reading, writing and numeracy. Successful completion of them meets the new co-requisite requirements for the award of NCEA qualifications from 2024. This indicates that the learner is comfortable operating at levels 4 and 5 of the New Zealand Curriculum (NZC) in these critical skills. Year 11 NCEA learning is assessed at level 6 of the NZC.

Another exam round is scheduled for October for unsuccessful candidates from the June sessions. Only those exams previously not achieved will need to be attempted again.

NZQA learner logins

The NZQA website is the ultimate record of student achievement towards NCEA qualifications. All learners entered for NCEA standards, from Years 10 to 13, should have had information passed to them about how to create a login for their own account. Progress towards qualifications, assessment results and how they are tracking towards different pathways can all be viewed through a student NZQA account.

If learners have not yet created an account they will need their National Student Number (NSN). If this is not known, their whānau teacher can provide the NSN. Instructions on how to create an account can be found at this link: https://bit.ly/3slKGod

Students are encouraged to login to their accounts regularly to check that results and credits have been entered correctly. If mistakes are found, they can then follow this up with the subject teacher as soon as possible.
