In August students from the Level 3 Art History class were given the opportunity to attend Art History Day at The University of Canterbury, with their teacher, Ms Bree Smith.

It was a wonderful day of lectures, tours of facilities and collections and a fabulous morning tea!

 The day ended with the highly anticipated Art History quiz, which spanned a variety of art historical periods. 

Ms Smith was VERY nervous since the students hadn’t had the pre-learning that Year 12 Art History provides, so it was especially thrilling to tie for third place, losing the tiebreaker to St Margarets. 

The day enabled us to make valuable connections with the university and other schools in attendance.
