Carl has been a key leader in driving positive class culture in UHM since they came together as a group.

Carl puts in genuine effort to connect with all students in the class and personifies the concept of whanaungatanga. 

His enthusiasm, sense of humour and banter set a positive tone that others latch on to. Carl is described by his peers in the class as being inclusive, positive, and outgoing - the key person who brings UHM together. 

Carl also demonstrates the Riccarton Way through his involvement in extra-curricular activities at RHS - particular through the arts and sport.
