Mr. Elliott Campbell, head of History and Classics at RHS, completed his TESOL (Supporting English Language Learners) scholarship over the Christmas holidays and finished his Master of Teaching (with distinction) degree at the University of Otago at the end of last year.

Mr. Campbell has worked incredibly hard to achieve his goals. 

In an interview, he said it has taken “perseverance, time management, resilience, not giving up when the going gets tough, and to be highly motivated”. 

To help benefit and shape Riccarton High School with his skills, Mr. Campbell said his goals are “learning skills to help my English as a Second Language learners, learning skills to find out what's happening inside my classroom, what's motivating students, what interests students and applying that in my classes to make learning more interesting and a better experience”.
