This term Kohanga Ako students have been using the technology design process to improve their school garden. The design brief was to create a he kari Rangimarie – a relaxing environment where any Riccarton High student could unwind.

All students imagined what they would like to change about the garden space and then researched and visited community gardens around Christchurch.

Groups have been created with students using the warmer weather to prep the fence for painting, planting seeds and transplanting seedlings and setting up a composting system. Term Four will be a hive of activity with students painting, planting and creating garden art.
