Kamusta!

A big thank you to the staff and students who were involved in a successful Filipino parent’s evening on Thursday the 5th of September. The evening provided our RHS staff with an opportunity to connect with our parents and community which is vital to us as our Filipino student population continues to grow. The evening consisted of delivering a range of important information on the school system and course selection, communicated in both English and Tagalog. A special mention to Paul Bridgman our Board of Trustees Chairman, who shared some insight into the function of our Board and the need for a diverse member to join our Board in its efforts to continue to function in a manner that aligns with our 'Riccarton Way' and our wonderful cultural diversity.

Throughout the night our fabulous Filipino dance group entertained us all with superb performances and we enjoyed Filipino songs, sung by two of our very talented students; Mikee Tan and Nathaniel Azarraga.

We look forward to many more opportunities to engage with our Filipino parents and community in the future.
