Riccarton High School continues to celebrate our students, with some of our chemistry students achieving considerable success recently.

Year 12 RHS student, Samyog Gaire, has won a prestigious place in the NZ Chemistry Olympiad Training Group for 2024. 

Samyog achieved this by sitting a digital Chemistry exam where he gained a Silver award for being in the 75th percentile of all applicants in New Zealand. 

Congratulations on your achievement and best of luck for the training group next year Samyog.

We also extend our congratulations to the students listed below for their outstanding performance in the recent International Chemistry Quiz. This online assessment, held in July, attracted the participation of students from all over the world, with the questions categorized by age group.

Christopher Hii, George Grundy, Zayne Thomas and Lex Nguyen all received a Credit certificate, signifying their achievement of a score between 70% and 80%. Umar Syed and Ivan Lau both earned Distinction certificates, indicating their exceptional scores of 80% to 90%. Ka pai!
