Eid-al-Fitr celebration
The Eid al Fitr is one of the most important celebrations for the Muslim community all over the world. It comes at the end of the month-long dawn-to-dusk fasting of Ramadan, and so in popular culture it is also known as the “festival of breaking fast”.
Islamic “Hijri” calendar is a lunar calendar, thus it requires a moon sighting to start the festival.
This year it was held on 14th of May.
The RHS Muslim students organised a shared lunch on the 17th of May to celebrate Eid at the school.
A few of the students came together, shared their way of celebrating Eid and spent some nice time together.
