Lucas Powell, 13URG, is the latest recipient of the Spirit of Uranga Award.

Lucas is a wonderfully engaged and enthusiastic whānau member of URG. Lucas can always be relied upon to provide insight and ideas during whānau discussions and is a fine role model for the Riccarton Way values. 

When Mr Leary started teaching here this year, Lucas's demonstration of Manawanui made Mr Leary's first few weeks here feel warm and welcoming. Ngakaupono is a value that Lucas values highly and is constantly evident in the way he engages with others. This is always reciprocated by his whānau class members and his positive approach to life enhances the Riccarton Way legacy.
