Christchurch Schools Regional Orchestra

Anne-Marie Plummer —

The Christchurch Schools Regional Orchestra has been rehearsing regularly each week for the last term with their conductor Ian Thorpe.

This is a fantastic opportunity which provides gifted musicians from schools from around the city to gain experience of playing in a full symphony orchestra of outstanding quality and to connect with other young musical talent.

Pictured here are some of Riccarton's top musicians, taken just before going on stage at the Charles Luney Auditorium last Wednesday night: cellist Caleb Weir (11PL), french horn player Janice Lee (13SN), trumpeter Toby Buckner (11PL), flautist Ryoka Ogaki (12PL), clarinettist Carmen Holdaway (10NS) and violinist Erin Kuiler (11PL).
