Grass Karting Champ

Kane Botherway completed over Easter weekend in the NZ Grass Karting Champs. After four years of entering, Kane had secured a fourth, second and third placing, and has finally has earned the top spot of first in NZ.

There were 18 karts entered in the intermediate grade and it was fiercely contested with six karts all vying for a podium finish, with the last heat of the day being the deciding factor for overall placings. 

Kane had a perfect drive and led the race early to finish in first place, securing him the title. He is hoping to make it three in a row as the reining Canterbury championships, to be held in November, before moving up into the next grade.
