Racing at the recent Division 2 New Zealand National Swim Champs held in Rotorua, at her first full meet since recovering from an injury four months ago, Sarah Hunter (12VA) has bounced back, setting new personal best times and medalled in her specialist stroke events. 

After narrowly missing the podium by just 0.12 seconds, placing 4th in the (age 15) Women’s 400m Freestyle, Sarah went one better winning bronze medals in both the 200m and 800m Freestyle events against stiff competition from swimmers based in the North Island. 

We also wish good luck to fellow RHS student Justine Owen (13BW), who will be competing at the NZ Age Group Champs in Wellington 21-25 March.
