Library News

Sally Blake —

Term Two and the Library is busy with students.

May Music Month is almost over but we are super excited to be having the RHS Ukulele Orchestra perform not once, but twice. Feel free to being along your ukulele and jam with the students in the Library. Music will be provided, plus a little tutoring.

GenConnect continues to grow in popularity. If you have a tech question feel free to pop along at lunchtime on Wednesday to the Library. A Riccarton High School student will be there to give you a hand. This is a free session open to all members of our Community. A big shout out to our willing student helpers - Alex Davis, Callum Wakefield, Matthew Ladbrook, Mackay Wakefield, Jack Milne, Jake Dalton and Blair Neilson.

Super Saturday Storytimes is a great time for younger members of the family to pop along to the Library for a morning of craft and stories. A big thank you to Jake Dalton who helps the City Library team.

Homework Club is on in the Library after school on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for one hour. Pop along to LC1. There are senior students available who can help you with your work, plus Ms Blake or Mrs Julian are always around as well.

Read - looking for something new to read? We are lucky enough to be a Joint Use Library -- a School Library AND Public Library, which for you means we have access to sooooooo many books to read. Check out the new collections of 'If you like ...' on the Library Website and get some ideas for what next to sink your teeth into.
