Recreating the Riccarton Way symbol

Our strength comes from individually and collectively living the Riccarton Way – the philosophy that underpins the way we think, act and feel about ourselves, others at the school, and those in our local and international community. It supports our vision for our students through emphasis on the key values of commitment, honesty, respect and excellence.

This year Will Eason, our Media co-ordinator and Karen Churchward, our Principal's assistant, took on the challenge of recreating the RW symbol on the field with our students.

The RW photo 2012 and 2019.

Our task this year was to recreate the symbol but this time, with 1100 students instead of 900.

John Steeds, our Groundskeeper, took the measurements off the 2012 photo, adjusted them, and marked out the shape for us to stand in.

Alex Clark, our Network assistant, flew a drone up to take the photos and video.

Thank you to everyone that took part in recreating this and for turning up in the correct uniform!
