New Zealand Careers Expo
On Friday 14 May, over 400 Year 12 and 13 students attended the New Zealand Careers Expo at the Christchurch Arena.
Students got the opportunity to find out about different tertiary institutions, employment options and service providers like Studylink and the Electoral Commission.
Alongside this, students were also able to participate in fun activities that simulated real life like making a hotel bed, working on scaffolding and using simulator equipment.
Attending the Career Expo provides valuable experience for students in that it can motivate and inspire them to consider careers they may not previously have considered.
It also gives them face to face access to people who can immediately answer their questions and hopefully guide them towards choosing the best pathway for them.
