Esports

League of Legends has become the latest new New Zealand high school sport. Already there are 80 schools enrolled and more than 1000 students playing, this is a lot for the first year of a new sport.

Riccarton High School has two teams entered in the League of Legends competition. Check out the Secondary Schools Leagues webpage for more information about Esports at High Schools in NZ. Some games are broadcast live as well, check them out here.

Celebrate Philippine Independence Day at the library making Parols / Filipino Lanterns on Tuesday 8th June, 3pm - 4pm.

Further celebrations for Philippine Independence Day will be held at Turanga Library, 12th June 11am - 2.30pm.

GenConnect runs every Thursday in the library at lunchtime, 1pm - 2pm. Anyone from the community with a techie question about their phone, laptop, tablet, etc, are welcome to come along and get some technical help from one of the Riccarton High students. This is a free service and you don't have to book in.
