International Update

While the northern hemisphere currently enjoys summer, this creates a very busy term three for our International Department as we welcome a great many new international enrolments.

This year we welcomed 15 new international students from Hong Kong, Japan, Germany, China, Brazil, Vietnam France and Taiwan. This is a great spread of nationalities, which is what our school is striving to achieve.
At the moment we have 69 international (fee-paying) students. Our main source countries remain as Japan, Korea, China and Vietnam. In the interest of diversity (amongst our already very diverse general role), the international department is currently focusing on increasing enrolments from Europe and Latin America.
So, if you are looking for a cultural experience this year, we are always looking for host families for our international students. Whether it be for long, or short term hosting, the school offers $260 per week for room, board, and meals. For more information contact Janet Bisley on BY@riccarton.school.nz
