Mission: Sustainable Innovation Challenge.

Seven of our Year 10 students spent the day at Tūranga taking on a problem in the Ministry of Primary Industries.

Evienne Jones, Ivan Juakay, Jae Hatton, Quinn McConnell, Loseli Vea’ila, Fendy Mei and Barbie Llantos collaborated with students from other schools and used existing technologies to innovate ideas to solve problems, then created prototypes for their innovations.

Evie was in a team with two St Margaret’s students who came third.

Jae and Quinn were in a team with two Burnside students who came first.

Ivan and Barbie were in a team who were also finalists.

Fendy and Loseli also had AWESOME ideas with their team.
