Softball

This year we have seen an increase in the numbers of students wanting to play softball for the school.

This is largely due to the commitment of two volunteer parents, Tania and David Jones, who have coached our mixed team in the Wednesday competition.

This dedication led us to entering a boys and a girls team into the South Island Secondary Schools Tournament, held in Christchurch during the last week of March, for the first time in many years.

Both teams competed with the expected Riccarton Way spirit and were placed 5th in both competitions.

A big thank you to Tania and David for their coaching and support and to Rick Harlow who also helped out throughout the week.

We look forward to the continued growth of Softball in the future!
