Culture Fest 2019

A celebration of diversity and community came together to enjoy this year's Culture Fest at Riccarton High.

Over 21 items entertained hundreds in the hall, and food from around the world kept everyone satisfied.  Acts included dance groups from China, the Philippines, Holland, Poland and India. Riccarton Primary were there with their Filipino choir, senior and junior Pasifika groups and Chinese fan dancing group. The Riccarton High Kapahaka group performed, along with the Polyfest group, two Filipino dance groups and senior musicians and soloists. The Culture Fest provides a wonderful opportunity for groups to showcase their talents to school, the community, and their own families and friends.

The number of food vendors grew this year with yummy food from India, the Philippines, Greece, China, South America and of course a good old Kiwi sausage sizzle.

The weather held and many people came and enjoyed the evening. A big thank you to everyone who helped make it such a successful night.
