Library News

We were lucky enough to be visited by the very talented kiwi author Gareth Ward this term.  Gareth has written two really popular young adult books, "The Traitor and the Thief" and "The Clockill and the Thief". Both are steampunk and highly recommended. Gareth has worked as a Royal Marine Commando, a Police Officer, a magician and a hypnotist. He treated us to a few tricks and kept the year 9 and year 11 classes (and the teachers and librarians) entranced for his talk.

Next week is Mental Health Awareness Week and we are planning lots of brain breathe activities in the library without the use of devices, including games, karaoke, colouring, crosswords, interesting talks, and more.

The holidays are upon us once again and if you have time for some reading, how about checking out the latest young adult books on offer in the Library,  Link here to the read page of the Library website.

Are you following the Library on instagram? Check us out and keep up with all the fun in the Library here.

Fancy something else to do in the holidays? Every Friday of the holidays there will be board games available in the young adult area. Why not pop in and challenge your mates to some board action.
