Young Women in Public Affairs Award
Congratulations to former Head Student, Carmen Holdaway, who was the club winner and overall 2021 New Zealand winner of the Young Women in Public Affairs Award.
The Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award, recognizes young women, ages 16-19, who demonstrate leadership skills and commitment to public service and civic causes, and encourages them to continue their participation in public and political life.
Carmen was presented her Award in July and received $1,500NZ and $1,500US District level prize money to go towards her university studies.
“YWPA helped me to appreciate some of the great things I had done, and opened my eyes to new directions of where I could take my future career”.
