Important Messages

As we approach the end of the school year and look forward to 2022, we have some important reminders and messages to share with you.

The beginning of the 2022 Riccarton High School year:

We look forward to welcoming everyone in the new school year. This document has details of the beginning of year dates for students and whānau.

We will be farewelling some teachers at the end of this year and welcoming some new ones in 2022. This means that there will be changes of whānau teachers for a small number of students. Our Kaitiaki will also make some minor tweaks to the Learning Classes of students moving from Year 9 into Year 10 next year. This is so Learning Classes remain balanced. We will advise affected students of any changes in late January.

Junior Prizegiving

We are excited to be able to hold our Junior Prizegiving next week on Tuesday, 14 December at 1 pm at La Vida Convention Centre. Unfortunately we are unable to invite our parents/caregivers or extended whānau due to the current COVID restrictions but we are pleased that we can acknowledge the hard work and effort put in by many of our junior students.

All junior students will attend the prizegiving and will walk to La Vida with their whānau teacher. They will return to school after the ceremony to collect their bags and belongings and will then be dismissed for the year.

Congratulations in advance to all of our prizewinners.

Return of Texts:

It would be much appreciated if all outstanding school texts could be returned to their relevant departments asap - particularly the Maths Department. Many thanks.
