Kōanga
Kia Ora, together we are your Kōanga Whānau captains for 2023.
Our names are Danelle Wolmarans and Tayler Robinson.
Kōanga as a whole stands for the season of spring. The season of spring represents the growth and development within our school.
Within Kōanga our greatest moral is humility and equality. We believe that this means to ensure that everybody is included and feels as if they have a place within the whānau. Throughout Kōanga we will make it our mission to ensure everybody feels respected and is able to show off their talents. We want to grow leadership within our whānau and ensure that every learner role models what it means to be a part of our whānau.
This upcoming year we look forward to connecting and building a deeper connection with our fellow students and teachers. As the year begins to progress we have the opportunity to connect through the various whānau competitions offered to us. Competing in these competitions allows for everyone to show their strengths and gain points for Kōanga.
We are both looking forward to Ambassador camp which is coming up later in the term. This will a good opportunity to build connections with our Whānau ambassadors and plan ahead for the upcoming year. Last year we enjoyed connecting with our leaders during golf, orienteering and we look forward to being the ones to lead the camp this year.
We are looking forward to all of the whānau challenges this year and watching Kōanga strive for success. Can't wait to see all of Kōanga in your green on sports day 💚
