As we are now a full school of Year 9 - 13 Learners, we have been able to recruit 20 new staff this year to join our already fabulous staff. Each newsletter, we will profile some of our wonderful staff so you can familiarise yourself with who they are.

Abbe Milne - Admin/Careers Advisor

I have joined Rolleston College as part of the Admin Team and I will also work with our Careers Advisor on the Gateway and Star programmes. I have recently moved back home to Christchurch to be closer to my family and friends after 7 years away.I have spent 15 years working in Hotels after taking up an opportunity to move to Omarama, there I started on Reception and moved to a Duty Manager and organised all functions and weddings, I progressed overtime and recently finished working as the Operations Manager for a Hotel in Auckland's Viaduct Harbour. I am looking forward to working with our learners to help them on their career pathways.

Sarah Linehan - School Councillor

I’m Sarah Linehan. This is my second time living in the Rolleston area and it is great to be back!

I have 30 years experience in education, and hold a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Counselling. As a Narrative Therapist, I will speak of problems as problems, not people as problems and your learner can speak to me about what is most important to them in a safe and confidential space. Together we will explore the problems they are experiencing, celebrate new developments, and explore new possibilities for life.

Tess Eden - Health and Physical Education Teacher

Kia ora - I was born and grew up in Nelson. I studied a BEd (physical education) with honours at the University of Canterbury after my High school years in Nelson. I have spent the last 5 years teaching at Nelson College for Boys where I was HOD Health and a year level Dean. I am a teacher of HPE and Social Sciences. I am teaching Year 9 HPE, Year 9 LIT, Year 13 Health and Year 13 ADV this year at Rolleston College. I am excited to be teaching at a co-ed school. I am currently in my final year of completing my Masters in Education. I enjoy spending time with friends and family and playing netball and touch rugby. I am an avid animal lover and have 3 fur babies at home.
