Our Kapa Haka group continues to grow in numbers and enthusiasm. Our new tutor Matua Tim Pirikahu along with Matua Jason Keno have been working through a few waiata to place into a performance piece. It’s been great to have the senior students attend to guide and encourage the juniors (Tuakana - teina). We had Caitlyn, a senior Kapa Haka student from Lincoln High in to teach our girls the Poi and one of our Head Students Hunter, has been teaching the boys a Haka. The group is preparing a piece to display to whānau in the near future. Mauri ora!
