Present, Participating and Progressing - Ministry of Education Attendance and Engagement Strategy

Throughout the year we have communicated the Ministry of Education’s Attendance Strategy for all schools in New Zealand. A link to the strategy can be found here. You can check your child’s attendance through the kamar portal and as a school, we will send you letters when their attendance percentage drops below the Ministry's targets. The letters are to keep you informed of your child’s attendance and to offer support should you need it. We are here to help and work with families on attendance - including when a learner has been away for medical reasons. Please reach out to your Ako and Advisory Coach at any time.
