Maori and Mind

Jordan Jefferis —

Review of Maori and Mind

There may be some people out there who don’t know what Maori and mind are, so I will gladly tell you what it is …Maori and mind are selected for learning Maori language. In this selected you can meet new people and you can join in activities that require things like manaakitanga and rangatiratanga .

The activities that we have for term 2 are really fun and challenging. I did most of my activities with my friends , Rylie L, Sam M and Haley. The most challenging activity was the rubber band activity because the rubber bands kept on snapping and there were multiple activities we had to complete while the rubber bands were connecting groups of people together. The other most challenging activity was the one where you had to be in groups of 4 or 3 or more and had to be in a push up position but you couldn’t have your feet on the ground. It was easy for a few people to do this challenge.

In Maori and mind it is not always just things like challenges , sometimes there is a bit of paperwork involved as well as work to do on a computer. At the start of each lesson you have to say the karakia with the teachers but at first it is okay to not know how to pronounce some of the words.
