Senior Assessment Week

Belinda Leckie —

Senior Assessment Week begins Wednesday, 27 October at 12.30pm.

Senior Assessment Week is an important time for many NCEA students to finish internal standards and to sit practice examinations for external standards. A schedule has been shared with students and is available below.  It is important that student turn up at the correct times in school uniform for all of their scheduled subjects.

Practice examinations for external standards allow students to gauge their preparedness for the final NZQA examinations. It is important that students take the time to prepare well for these examinations. If an unexpected event prevents a student from sitting a final examination, the grade from the school practice examination will be forwarded to NZQA for consideration. Results from the practice examinations are also used when considering subject prizes for our end of year prizegiving.

Gateway students are expected to attend school each day, either attending scheduled assessment times or working in the library, completing Gateway standards. Most of them will still be able to attend their work experience.

Normal classes will run Periods 1-3 on Wednesday, 27 October and will recommence Wednesday, 3 November with Period 1. Students are welcome onsite to study when they do not have scheduled assessment times.
