Craig Hinton —

Congratulations as all teams have made a really competitive start to the beginning of the season.

Hello everyone

All competitions are now up and running.

The First XI Boys and Girls have been playing for the past month now and have both had a successful start competing strongly against some very tough opposition. The 14th and 18th Grades began this week just been and both started well also.

A Friendly reminder to all players that subs are now due and the cost is $120.00. This is payable to the College Office please.

The First XI Girls begin their defence of the Aoraki Secondary School League this week. All matches are being played on a Thursday after school throughout this term. Their first game is against Timaru Girls High School this Thursday May 9 at Anzac Square, kick off is 4.00pm.

Best of luck to Liam Cotter who is involved in the Chatham Cup tie for Thistle AFC (Timaru) against Old Boys AFC (Invercargill) at Anzac Square on Saturday at 2.00pm. Come along and support him as he gets to experience one on NZ Football’s most prestigious tournaments.

Training days have been confirmed for all teams and are as follows:

  • 14th Grade (Junior XI): Wednesday 3.30-5.00 pm at Roncalli College Lower Field
  • 18th Grade (Second XI): Tuesday and Thursday 5.00-6.30 pm at Anzac Square
  • First XI Boys: Monday and Wednesday 5.30-7.00 pm at Anzac Square
  • First XI Girls: Tuesday 3.30-5.00 pm (now that the secondary schools league has started)

I encourage all players and parent to please join the Roncalli College Football 2018 facebook page as all updates, results, weekly draws and other important information are often place on here.
