Sports Information & Contacts

It has been a very busy start to the year with summer sports in full swing. And we find ourselves extremely busy with winter sports preparation. We are well underway with registrations and trials so it is important for the students to keep informed through the College notices, College facebook page, emails and newsletters.  I encourage students to form good habits in looking at the notices, checking emails etc everyday

We would not be able to carry out our sports teams without the outstanding support of parents and the wider community. If there are any students who are competing in their chosen sport outside of school, we would love to hear from you and share your experiences and results please contact Miss Zandbergen.

Girls Ruby Coaches Needed

Aoraki Secondary Schools Athletics Championships

When: - Wednesday 17 March 2027 (pp dates Thursday 18 & Friday 19 March)
Where:- Aorangi Park All Weather Track

Students will be selected to represent the College at the Aoraki Athletics Champs based on performances at the College athletics sports held on Tuesday. EOTC letters will be emailed home to the parents and caregivers of those students who have been selected and have met with Miss Zandbergen to confirm the events they would like to compete in.

Aoraki Secondary Schools Swimming Championships ~ Change of Date

The Aoraki Swimming Champs were scheduled for 12 March. For numerous reason and looking at the swimming events calendar this has been moved to Thursday 20 May. One month before South Island Schools Swimming Championships that are being held in Timaru.

South Island Secondary Schools Rowing Champs

The South Island Secondary School Rowing Champs have been postponed from this weekend to next weekend the 12th - 14th March. We would like to wish Mollie Phillips and Sahahna Anisy-Oudemans good luck for their rowing event.

Aoraki Secondary School Lawn Bowls

Good luck to the 20 students who are travelling to Oamaru to compete in the lawn bowls competition next Thursday 11 March. Thank you to Mr Costello and Mrs Betts who are travelling with the students.

Aoraki Secondary School Volleyball Championships

Good luck to the 4 teams entered, players, referees and coaches who are representing Roncalli at the Aoraki Volleyball Champs next Thursday 11 March. Thank you to Mrs Hackler and Mr Hines for all their work with Roncalli Volleyball.
