Seven weeks to go until the Awa Run!

We are excited for the five year 10 students, Constantine Hunt, Maddie Ross, Bella Hopkinson, Aliyah Burns and Kees Bruin who have been selected to attend the 2023 Awa Run. Year 12 student Carter West and I will also support the team.

This is a unique cultural, spiritual, personal development and service opportunity with our other seven Marist network schools throughout New Zealand:

• Pompallier Catholic College, Whangarei

• Marist College, Auckland

• St John’s College, Hastings

• Hato Paora College, Feilding

• St Patrick’s College, Silverstream

• St Patrick’s College, Wellington

• St Bede’s College, Christchurch

Students run along the scenic Whanganui River in a relay of 5 km’s at a time to raise funds to support those disadvantaged communities where our Young Marist Programmes are based. The funds raised also allow our network of schools to offer scholarships to students from these communities to attend some of our schools. 

Our team are busy planning and preparing for the trip and have committed to training and fundraising to support these goals.
