It has been a very busy start to the year with summer sports in full swing. And we find ourselves extremely busy with winter sports preparation. We are well underway with registrations and trials so it is important for the students to keep informed through the College notices, College facebook page and newsletters.

We would not be able to carry out our sports teams without the outstanding support of parents and the wider community. Roncalli Netball AGM ~ Tuesday 13 March 2018 at  7.00 pm – Room 17 Seminar room (attached to the College gymnasium)

We encourage you all to attend and welcome any new members to come join our friendly Netball committee.

Trials have taken place and students have been allocated a team. Please refer to the letter handed to students at trials for subscription payment. The deposit is due 22 March 2018.

24 and 27 March - Challenge series (Senior A team only)

7 and 14 April - Secondary school grading days

28 April – Saturday first round netball starts

2 May – Wednesday (Premier and premier plate) first round netball starts

27 May – Junior development tournament (Senior A team, and Junior teams TBC)

2 June (Queens Birthday weekend) – No play

14 and 18 July – No play

25 August – Finals Saturday netball

29 August – Premier and Premier plate finals

Roncalli Basketball AGM ~ Monday 19 March 2018 at 7.00 pm in Room 17 Seminar room (attached to the College Gymnasium)

We invite all interested students, parents and guardians to come along as we welcome new members.

Recently basketball trials were held for boys and girls Senior Premier teams as well as for all Junior boys and girls teams. It has been a positive response to the trials with Roncalli so far being able to enter the following teams in the upcoming Secondary Schools Basketball Competition:

• Junior Girls Premier Blue Team
• Junior Girls Premier Gold Team
• Junior Girls B1 Team
• Junior Girls B Blue Team

• Junior Boys B Gold Team
• also there will be a number of Social teams as well.

The Friday Night Secondary Schools Basketball Competition commences on Friday 4 May 2018 (first Friday of term 2).

Hockey

The hockey season is starting well with great numbers of boys and girls signing up for hockey trails this week and continuing next. 

The seasons proposed start date is Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 April 2018. 

Week 1 with finals day Saturday 25 Week 20, this will be confirmed at the next senior committee meeting. 

The Mama Mia sequel is coming up in July and this will be a great fundraiser to help all teams going to tournament.
