Gateway Profile - Bailee Hodge
Before I started Gateway this year I was looking forward to meeting new people and learning new skills.
Before I started Gateway this year I was looking forward to meeting new people and learning new skills. I didn't know what career I would be interested in. I researched retail and beauty and had taster days with Farmers, Hello Beauty and Stafford Personnel.
I chose Stafford Personnel for my work placement and attend work experience for 1 day every week. I meet a lot of new people and have learnt many new tasks. Some of the tasks I do at work experience include: computing skills, entering information into the database, scanning, filing, delivering mail and photocopying.
The ITO that I am registered with is Skills Organisation, I'm doing the Business Services Gateway Programme. I have theory work to do at school and practical work to get signed off in the workplace - things like customer service, knowledge of office equipment, text processing skills, producing business documents, time management plus a unit on budgeting and personal income.
I haven't decided if I will work full time or enroll at Ara Institute when I leave school, I will most likely return to school next year for Year 13.
