If you need to tell the school that your student is going to be away from Roncalli, you can use the Kamar app. This automatically informs our systems that your student is away.

This process allows you to identify the reason your student will be away. These options include being late, illness, doctor/dentist appointment or other reasons why your student is away.

If you don’t have your parent login to Kamar please contact the College office.

Alternatively email office@roncalli.school.nz. This process requires manual entry into the system and occasionally a text goes out before it is entered.

If your student is absent from school you will receive a text notifying you of this absence, we will notify you by 10.30am. Parents/caregivers can then "reply" to this message, with an explanation as to why the student is away at that time. This information goes directly to the Kamar portal, and there is no need to telephone the school office.  However, we acknowledge that it may be easier for you to call into the absence line in the morning if your child is absent. This is also appreciated.
