Up Coming Sports Dates ~ Term 4

  • Thursday 17 October: Roncalli College Colours Assembly
  • Tuesday 22 October: College Prize Giving. All Prize Winner recipients, parents and caregivers will receive an invitation via email during the first week of the holidays.
  • Wednesday 30 October: Sports Volunteers thank you evening ~ save this date. Invitations will be sent out at a later date.
  • Friday 1 November: Aoraki Secondary Schools Sports Awards. 


Jaxson Whyte ~ Cycling

Good luck to year 11 student Jaxson Whyte who is competing in the following up coming events:

  • 30 September - 1 October: National School Road Championships - Under 16.
  • 4 - 6 October: YUNCA Junior Tour of Southland
  • 6-9 October: South Island and National Schools Track Championships.


Luca Shaw ~ Basketball Nationals

Congratulations to Year 11 student Luca Shaw who was selected to play on loan for the Waitaha A (Canterbury) Basketball team who competed at the Basketball New Zealand Under 17 Nationals Tournament and finished runners up.

Handball ~ Open Day

Dear Coaches, Teachers and Athletes

On October 12th the New Zealand Handball Federation, in association with the New Zealand Olympic Council, would like to invite you, your colleagues and your students to a free handball coaching class and have-a-go day at Aorangi Stadium.
The open day will be hosted by the Canterbury and Otago Handball Federations and will be presented by International Handball Federation CCM lecturer Eoin Murray. The basics of teaching and learning handball will be covered at 10.30, have-a-go sessions will run at 11.00 followed by the senior regional Otago and Canterbury teams battle for the South Island Shield in an exhibition game.

Come along and learn more about this fast paced Olympic game gaining momentum in New Zealand
