Roncalli Year 9 student Sophie Best competed at the Track National Championships in Invercargill from Wednesday 1st to Sunday 5th March, 2023.

The Track National Championships (formerly named the Elite & U19 Track National Championships) is New Zealand's premier national track cycling event. Held annually in rotation between Cambridge and Invercargill. This event is the pinnacle event on the domestic calendar for New Zealand’s top U15, U17, U19, Elite and Para Cyclists.

Sophie Best came away with 2 Silver Medals over the 5 days. Coming 2nd in the Under 15 Girls elimination final and 2nd in the Under 15 Girls 500m team sprint final.
