The 9X Capabilities class had the privilege of meeting Anna Grimaldi, long jump gold medal winner at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo

Earlier this term Ivan Obillo won the Paralympics Mascot design competition for the Year 9-10 category which represented the amazing New Zealand team during the Paralympics. Anna is an inspirational athlete who shared her story and Paralympics experience with the class via a Zoom meeting. We were intrigued by her passion and hard work over the years, she also won a gold medal during the 2016 Rio Summer Paralympics. We are grateful for the opportunity to spend the morning talking to her. Congratulations to Ivan for winning the competition and inspiring our para-athletes.
