RESULTS & UP COMING SPORTS INFORMATION

Happy New Year to you all! We have all had a very busy start to the school year, finding our feet and getting organised for many sporting activies, events and upcoming seasons.

There will be a lot of information and details being communicated in our College Daily notices, College facebook page and student email so I encourage students to form good habits in looking at the notices, email etc everyday and if you have any questions regarding Roncalli Sport please do not hesitate to see me in the Sports Office or email j.zandbergen@roncalli.school.nz

If there are any students who have been competing in their respective sports and events over the holiday period we would love to hear from your and share your results and photos please come and see or email Miss Zandbergen.

Cycling

Congratulations to year 13 student Jaxson Whyte, over the holiday period Jaxson was named in the New Zealand Under 19 National Track Development Squad.

We would like to welcome our two new year 9 students cyclists Charlie Quested and Annika Staniford. We look forward to following you all as you compete this year. Good luck.

Rowing

Congratulations to our two novice rowers Mollie Phillips and Sahahna Ainsy-Oudemans who rowed at the recent South Island Club regatta. 

The club entered them in a quad with Timaru Girls High Novices and they each had a single and a double. Some awesome rowing, making a few B Finals and their double made the A Final where they placed 6th.

Roncalli Athletics Sports 1/2 and Full Day

Athletics 1/2 Day - Thursday 25 February starting at 1.00 pm. We will be running the Championship Hurdles, Javelin and 3000 m on this afternoon. Further information to follow.

College Athletics Day - Friday 26 February: Parents and caregivers who are interested in assisting with the Roncalli Athletics Sports Day (time keeping, measuring, recording, place getting) on Friday 26 February (postponement date Wednesday 3 March) please contact Jose at the Sports Office on 688 6003 extension 808 or email j.zandbergen@roncalli.school.nz
