Learning Recognition credits are available again.
Learning Recognition credits and UE requirements introduced in 2020 have become available again.
As Roncalli College has had 16 school days disrupted by COVID-19, the following conditions apply
- To gain NCEA Level 1, a student needs at least 80 Level 1 credits, including 10 numeracy and 10 literacy credits.
Up to 8 Level 1 Learning Recognition credits can be gained so a student needs to achieve a total of at least 72 Level 1 (2 or 3) internal and/ or external credits. - To gain NCEA Level 2, a student needs at least 60 Level 2 credits plus 20 Level 1 credits (including Level 1 numeracy and literacy).
These 20 credits may have been gained in an earlier year.
Up to 6 Level 2 Learning Recognition credits can be gained so a student needs to achieve a total of at least 54 Level 2 (or 3) internal and/ or external credits. - To gain NCEA Level 3, a student needs at least 60 Level 3 credits plus 20 Level 2 credits.
These 20 Level 2 credits may have been gained in an earlier year.
Up to 6 Level 3 Learning Recognition credits can be gained so a student needs to achieve a total of at least 54 Level 3 internal and/ or external credits. - To gain UE, a student needs NCEA Level 3, including at least 14 credits from 3 university approved subjects, 10 Level 1 numeracy credits, 5 Level 2 reading credits and 5 Level 2 writing credits.
Additional Learning Recognition credits and altered conditions for endorsements and university entrance become available if a school is at Level 3 or Level 4 restrictions for 20 school days. These school days do not have to be consecutive. Currently, Roncalli College students have been remote learning for 16 days.
