From the Wellbeing Team
Welcome back to school for 2023
A daily routine provides stability and a sense of control for young people.
Below are some tips that can be implemented for students as they return to school after the summer break.
Get organised the night before, look ahead and see what needs to be packed/organised for the following day.
Get a good night's sleep (it is recommended that teenagers have 8-10 hours sleep each night).
Set the alarm for a time that allows you to get ready in the morning without feeling rushed.
Eat a decent/nutritious breakfast.
Arrive at school on time.
Attend all classes - regular school attendance is key for academic success and it significantly improves wellbeing.
Bring healthy food and a water bottle to school to keep hydrated and energised throughout the day.
Establish an after school routine (with homework, physical activity, music practice etc).
Unplug and take a break from technology.
