Eleven players from the u18 Roncalli Girls’ 1st XV were nominated to play in the Town vs Country rugby match on Sunday 13 September

Congratulations to Ella Sugrue who made the Hanan Shield Team 2020

Eleven players from the u18 Roncalli Girls’ 1st XV were nominated to play in the Town vs Country rugby match on Sunday 13 September. The town team was made up of players from Roncalli, TGHS and Craighead and won against the Country team 58-17.

The players nominated and who played were Brook Tindall, Madi Fisher, Brylie O’Toole, Pippa Thomson, Rachel Waldron, Isla McManus, Sophie Kerr from Mackenzie College and Madi Barclay from Opihi College.

From this game Ella Sugrue, Sophie Kerr (Mackenzie College) and Madi Barclay (Opihi College) were named in the Hanan Shield Secondary School Girl Representative team.

We also had players nominated from the U15 Roncalli 1st XV. Congratulations to Celeste Gleeson, Mya George, Emma Bown, Mia Daly, Madi Wills, Rhiana Nimo, Amelia Holland from Opihi College, Connie Dellow and Talulah Rooney who played in the Town team and lost to Country 17-15. Well done ladies, what an awesome effort.
