Roncalli Fair - Sunday 30 October

Roncalli PTA —

Preparations are now well underway for the 2022 Fair. We appreciate all the help we get from our school community and we are very fortunate to have so many parents and families that are willing to be involved and support this event – it is the major fundraiser for the year so we want it to be a huge success!

FAIR HELPERS

We already have helpers allocated to some jobs and stalls, and we thank you for making the commitment to the Fair this year. For those helpers not already allocated jobs, please feel free to choose one or two tasks from the dates below and get in contact through a PTA member, Facebook and email (see below for links, names).

Assist in sort and set up of White Elephant, Clothing and other stalls from 9.00am.

DONATIONS

Whilst the year groups donate certain items toward stalls, we always appreciate further donations, in particular raffle prize donations, reusable bags and boxes and homemade baking and sweets.

Raffle prize donations for fair day raffles

Thank you to the families and businesses already contributing gift baskets, vouchers, and items toward the raffle prizes on the day of the fair. We would always appreciate any further donations from our community for raffle prizes. Please contact roncallicollegepta@gmail.com should you wish to make a donation or query.

Homemade Baking/Sweets

Donations of baking/sweets can be dropped off Saturday 29 October, from 10.00am to Food tech room or College office.

Plants

Donations of plants can be dropped off to the Wellington St courtyard at school, from Tuesday 25 October.

Books, Silent Auction items, White Elephant items (we are unable to take electrical items, tv's, dvd's), Clean Clothing (we are unable to take underwear), Re-usable bags

From Monday 17 October, donations for white elephant, books, clothing, auction, bags etc can be left beside the container in the Gymnasium carpark off Craigie Avenue. (Please do not drop items prior to or during the school holidays).

Raffle Books

Thanks to the many families who have already returned raffle books. If you have not yet returned your book, please do so as soon as possible. All books must be accounted for, so even unsold books must be returned. Please save us from having to make a phone call chasing these up!

Year 9 & 10 students

It has always been a tradition at Roncalli that Year 9 & 10 families are asked to provide baking and sweets for the fair, although it is certainly not restricted to Year 9 & 10 – the more the better!. Sweets and baking can be dropped at the college office or at the foods room from 10.00am, Saturday 29 October,– it does not need to be packaged up ready for selling because our fabulous sweets stall team can do that – just pop it in a container and drop it off.

Year 13 students

Another tradition at Roncalli is that Year 13 families donate items for the grocery raffle. Last year we had a fabulous selection of items in the trolley and we would hope to do even better this year. Please check items for an expiry date before donating them, and a variety of grocery items is appreciated. We want the trolley to look full and impressive, so donate items that you would like to see if you were buying a ticket! There will be a trolley located in the main office reception for the collection of grocery items, and it will also be available at senior conferencing in the gym on Tuesday 27 September.

Thank You.
