All students are expected to bring their own device (BYOD) for their learning in 2019

After observing the positive impact of having BYOD with our Year 9 students learning, and gaining feedback from staff we have decided to extend the BYOD trial to all year levels in 2019.

With NCEA Digital Assessment for Levels 1-3 beginning in 2020 it is important that we teach our students how to use digital tools confidently and competently in the classroom.

Below are our device recommendations. Note that the minimum recommended screen size excludes smartphones and tablets. Experience tells us that a device that is looked after will last 3 years. 

We currently have an arrangement through Harvey Norman where students can access educational prices directly with them. 

We will be holding a parent/caregiver information evening early in November.

Software: 

Students have full access to the G-Suite digital tools.

They also have access to Microsoft Office 365 for free. They can download it on up to 5 devices as well as access online. To do this go to office.com and enter their College email address and password. Then download.
