We have had many students competing in Regional, South Island and National events and competitions over the holiday period. We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge them on their outstanding achievements.

Reagan Ashley – Basketball Referee
- 20 – 22 Sept: Refereed at the New Zealand National Tertiary Championships in Christchurch. Awarded the Men's Quarter Final, Men’s Semi Final and Men’s Grand Final.
- 3 Sept – 5 Oct: Refereed at the New Zealand Schick Secondary Schools National Championships in Palmerston North. Awarded the Men's Quarter Final, Men’s Semi Final and Women's Grand Final.
Jaxson Whyte – Cycling
National Schools Road Racing Championships, 28 – 30 Sept: Manawatu (Under 16 Boys)
- 1st Gold Medal – Road Race (1st out of 58)
- 1st Gold Medal – Points Race (1st out of 59)

- 1st – 0verall
South Island School Track Championships, 9 – 10 October 2019: (Under 16 Boys)
- Gold Medal (Omnium)
NZ National School Track Championships, 9 – 10 October 2019: (Under 16 Boys)

Matthew Gray – Swimming
2019 New Zealand Short Course Championships in Auckland (1 October)
Matthew competed with the Swim Timaru Club in the Men's 16 Year old age group and placed in the top ten Nationally:
- 7th - 400 Individual Medley
- 8th - 200 Breaststroke
- 9th - 200 Fly
Matthew also placed 11th in the 200 Backstroke and the 200 Individual Medley
Alex Kelliher ~ Golf
National Junior Eagles, Hamilton (12 October)
- 4th Place ~ Individual
- 5th Place ~ Aorangi Team
Alex also competed in the Pleasant Point Senior Club Championships placing 1st on the 29 September.
Dhruval Shah ~ Inline Skating
Southern Open Speed Skating National Championships (5 October, 2019)
- Senior Men's 300m time trial - 3rd (Bronze medal)
- Senior Men's 800m final - 1st (Gold medal)
- Senior Men's 1500m final - 2nd (Silver medal)
- Senior Men's 3000m final - 2nd (Silver medal)
- Open Men's 12 & over 5000m final - 2nd (Silver medal)
- Senior Men's team relay 3000m - 1st (Gold medal)
South Canterbury Under 15 Hockey Girls - success in holidays
Congratulations to Charli Nevin who was a member of the South Canterbury Under 15 Girls Hockey team who finished 2nd place (Silver) at the National Under 15 Hockey Tournament in Nelson during the school holidays.
