Guy Sutherland —

Students have been using the Design Thinking Process to create technological solutions to help solve issues they have identified.

Dakota Wylie and Oliver Redhead have created a Vape Sensor for their project. The project uses a smoke detector module connected to an ESP32 Microcontroller which can sense vape smoke and send an alert over the College WiFi network to select staff member email addresses via the Blynk IoT platform.

They CAD designed the housing in Fusion 360 and printed it on the College 3D printers.
