Recently Karla competed at the Karate National Championships in Auckland.

At the competition she passed her brown belt grading and won a silver medal in the Women's Intermediate Open Division Kumite (Freestyle Fighting) and Kata (Individual Training Exercise). Due to her amazing results, Karla has been selected to travel to Japan to compete at the Karate World Championships next year.
