Mercy Cup & St Thomas's Up Coming Sports Exchanges

On Tuesday 11 June we are travelling to Christchurch for two of our annual winter sports exchanges for Mercy Cup and St Thomas's.

Mercy Cup - Cathedral College Hosts

Cathedral College are hosting the annual Mercy Cup Tournament on Tuesday 11 June in Christchurch (Postponement Date Tuesday 18 June).

The following schools are participating:

  • Villa Maria College (Christchurch)
  • Marian College, (Christchurch),
  • Catholic Cathedral College (Christchurch),
  • John Paul II (Greymouth)
  • Roncalli College (Timaru)
  • St Kevins College (Oamaru)

The following sports/grades teams are competing are:

  • Netball: Senior A, B, Junior Year 10 and Year 9.
  • Hockey A Grade
  • Football A Grade

Students must meet in the Gymnasium car park off the Craigie Avenue entrance at 6.00am sharp. Please assemble near the bus stop shelter path in the gymnasium car park. The buses will leave promptly at 6.15am. If any students require to be picked up in Temuka i.e. Tea Pot Inn, please let Miss Zandbergen know on the permission link. The buses will return to the College at approximately 5.00pm.

All students are to travel in their Roncalli College Tracksuits and Roncalli Hoodies (branded gear). Students must bring their sports uniforms/gear, a large lunch and water bottle for the day. 

The Hockey is being played at the Nga Puna Wai Turf, Netball and Football is being played at South Hagley.

Parents/Caregivers and students participating have been emailed an EOTC letter for consent and information.

St Thomas's Sports Exchange

St Thomas's of Canterbury College are hosts for the annual winter sports exchange in Christchurch on Tuesday 11 June. 

The following teams will be representing Roncalli College: Under 16 Rugby, 1st XI Football, Junior Football, Senior Premier Basketball, Junior Premier Basketball, Junior and Senior Debating.

Students must meet in the Gymnasium car park off the Craigie Avenue entrance at 7.45 am sharp. The buses will leave at 8.00 am. If any students require to be picked up in Temuka i.e. Tea Pot Inn, please let Miss Zandbergen know on the permission link. The buses will return at approximately 5.00pm.

All students are to travel in their full College winter uniform, including blazers for senior students. Students must bring their sports uniform/gear, a large lunch and water bottle for the day.
