The Roncalli cyclists produced some great results at the Aoraki Cycling champs recently. Good luck to Jaxson Whyte who is competing at the South Island Champs soon.
AORAKI SECONDARY SCHOOLS CYCLING CHAMPS
Congratulations to Jaxson Whyte who finished 2nd place in both the under 16 boys individual time trial and 12km scratch race at the Aoraki SS Cycling Champs held yesterday at Levels Raceway. Ryan Newlands competed in the boys over 16 grade individual time trial and rode well against tough competition.
Daniel Goodwin made up the boys team in the 16 and over teams time trial along with Ryan and Jaxson who road up a grade. The team did well finishing in 5th place.Well done to these boys, especially in what were freezing conditions to ride in.
SOUTH ISLAND ROAD CYCLING CHAMPS
Good luck to Jaxson Whyte who will be competing at the South Island School Road Cycling Championships to be held in Timaru for the first time on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th July. Jaxson will compete in the U15 boys road race and time trial at two venues in Timaru - Pareora River Road, Southburn (Saturday) and Levels Raceway (Sunday).
